CHILDREN AND FAMILIES

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Held during both the 8.00 am and 10.00 am services for children aged between 2 to11. We currently have regular attendances of over 200 children per week.

Sunday School is organized by age groups:-

The 1 - 2 Year Age Group (The Rainbow Group):

The 1 - 2 year olds meet in the Cooke's House for a shared Bible story time with songs and play.

The 2-3 Year Age Group:

The 2-3 year olds follow a programme of Bible lessons for Toddlers where children follow flexible interactive activities so they  can learn about God and Jesus through themed Bible stories, games, puzzles, crafts and play.

The 3-5 Year Age Group:

The 3-5 year olds have lessons from ’Tiddlywinks’ and “All in one Bible Fun” which helps the children explore the Bible from a new perspective, developing a love for and a relationship with the Bible as they learn and play together.

The 5-11 Year Age Group:

A Sunday School curriculum from Youthworks called Click is used: it is Bible based and child orientated. It is subdivided into modules to cater for different levels of child development as follows:

Blue Click:  also called “Adventure” is for 5-7's to help them grow in their knowledge of God and their faith in Jesus - the greatest adventure of them all.

Red Click:   also called "Over the Top" is geared to 8-11's who enjoy learning and seeing things in new interesting ways. This module aims at extending their knowledge of God and their faith in Jesus.

Each Click level runs a 10 week programme with a specific focus I.e. What has God done for his people?

Further information on the Click programme can be found at CEP kids@church.

Crèche

During 8.00 am and 10.00 am Sunday morning services crèche for babies of 0 - 1 year is held in the vestry (found to the left of the church as you face the altar), so even our youngest members feel welcome in church. The vestry is air-conditioned and has an audio link to the church so you can follow the service.

Special Events - Special events for children are held at different times during the year e.g.  During July/August a special holiday programme following a theme.
